Debt Validation Letter

$25.00

A debt validation letter is a formal request to a debt collector to prove a debt is valid and that you are the correct party to pay it. Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), debt collectors must send you a written validation notice within five days of their first contact and provide you with information about the debt, such as the amount owed, the name of the original creditor, and how to dispute it. You can also send your own validation letter to the collector to request this information before paying.
